FIELD FIND WORKSHOP
5 WEEKS OF FACILITATION AND GUIDANCE TO HELP YOU FIND LAND TO FARM OR STEWARD
We’ll spend 5 weeks together talking about all sorts of ways to find land to grow on or raise animals. I’ll be sharing about all 3 of the previous pieces of land that I’ve farmed that were not mine and talking about what lessons were learned, as well as what my plan is for a new 4th property that I’m taking on this season.
I’ll guide the group in brainstorming places/people/ organizations who could be of help in your land finding journey. Over our 5 weeks together, you’ll be encouraged to contact 60 different people/organizations in your hunt for land. (Don’t panic, that’s only 10 people a week after the initial 10 we do on Day 1 - you can do this!)
We’ll talk about what to look for and avoid when searching for land, as well as lease agreements, realistic expectations and all the different potential types of land that are out there for you to start your farming journey.
Are you guaranteed to find land through this workshop? No.
Are you going to get many steps closer to finding land if you actively participate in this workshop? Absolutely.
This workshop is for anyone and everyone who is serious about finding land to better nurture themselves and their communities.
